Thanks For Visiting “Power On Solar”. Living “Off Grid” is becoming more and more popular, and many are new to the idea. Finding a reliable power system that won’t cost an arm and a leg can be challenging, especially if you aren’t an electrical wizard. That’s where we come in…

It’s our mission to provide an affordable and helpful service to Northland, that takes the guess work out of building a reliable power system and doesn’t compromise on quality.

It’s a changing world out there, and perhaps like you, we chose to make some changes to our lifestyle… After spending years installing systems and performing our Lightning shows overseas (Lords of Lightning), we decided to sell up our overseas interests, and our home near Helensville, and move back to Northland for a simpler lifestyle.

While “Power On Solar” has only been operating for about 6 or 7 years, Carlos has been designing and installing Off Grid power systems for over 20 years, all around the world. Many of our earlier systems were installed onboard luxury yachts, in harsh, salt water environments. That’s why we choose to use VICTRON inverters and electronics in all our systems, because they are designed to last the distance, even in marine environments.

We don’t just talk the talk… we have personally been living off grid for more than 20 years now, and between our first hand experience and Carlos’s electrical knowledge, know exactly what is needed to build a reliable system that will meet your needs.
